Our climate on the Island of Kos may be of interest to you for this reason I have noted the average monthly temperatures in degrees centigrade.

Please note that in the height of summer it can be much hotter, but on many days we have a cool breeze which helps us feel comfortable. I'd like to add too that at the beginning and end of the summer season we can have cooler evenings and it is advisable to bring cardigans, jackets and even a raincoat as the odd shower could catch us by surprise. It is in May and October too that the temperatures can be a lot higher, therefore prepare yourselves with a mixture of clothing in your suitcase. June is a month with a normal temperature that most can cope with but almost every year we seem to be having heat waves during this period with temperatures going as high as 36 degrees! August is the month that we have the "Melteme" This is the annual wind that attracts many windsurfers to the Island. Sometimes it doesn't arrive 'till later, sometimes it comes early?. however one things for sure we are most grateful for this cool breeze that normally picks up throughout the day and cools us all down from the hot, sweltering heat at this time of year.
